Great podcast. I agree with you on every point. I had one for the radio frequency...it was horrible, cut in and out with each mile I drove into a new county. The tape cassette is where it's at...but for those that can't afford the Ipod pricetag...Walmart and competing stores may offer the same product for a smaller pricetag. I got mine at Hastings for a whopping $12 on sale. Not bad considering the frequency one was double.

Another great idea is for trips in the car. We carry our portable CD player and it fits great in there too...a great way to control the volume, especially if the little ones fall asleep on the way to grandmas.

Thanks for a great tip...nice to see someone podcasting on the less expensive technology that can help the poor people like myself.

Hey! That totally works with my crappy Dell Jukebox MP3 player, too. Whoo hoo!

My favorite part of this one was at the end when you're singing along and the sun shines on your teeth like they're diamonds. Awesome.

Dude, the cassette deck is in my Sequoia! I was all, "What the...?!" Then, "Ooooh! Now where'd I put that old OMD cassette?!"

As for TGIM, that was simply uncalled for. We don't say nerd; we say GEEK.

Honestly.

I laughed out loud when you got burned for being a nerd.

My car (and many that were put on the road after oh, about 1990) doesn't have a cassette player. But it's interesting nonetheless. What next? The revival of the 8 track?

I totally prefer the sound quality of the cassette adapter to the fm tuner. MUCH better.
